Facebook video content is in a strange place. Mobile and android access to Facebook is (of course*) continuing to rise and this brings with it media favouritism – video content is struggling. So how can you make the most of Facebook video content?

If you’re unsure or unable to make contact, then leave it untagged. Tag yourself/your business and leave it at that.

Add your location – we’re about to be plunged into Graph Search, so the more you can tie your content locally, the more SEO impact you’ll have.
Better yet, make sure your Facebook page has your location and tie the video content to that.

Embedding from Youtube

If you prioritise Youtube as an outlet for your content, then absolutely you should be embedding.
Be aware of Anchor Text – continue to follow the principle of front loading your keywords and you’ll be fine.
Make sure your Youtube content is allocated to the right playlist and consider the potential for Facebook-specific traffic playlists (not to mention you can make the most of the Youtube analytics). Use your demographics from insights and set one up.
