This collection renewed my faith in science fiction. Suffice to say I was going through a dark age of reading and had stumbled from one thing to the next. And then this. Beckett is a social worker by trade, so his stories are infused with weighted human decisions that stick in your mind for weeks… or maybe years (I’m still musing over a few of them).
